We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Yard Supervisor to join our team at Jewson. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our product lines and be able to offer help and advice to customers.
  • Team Support: Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning, and provide support as needed.
  • Order Processing: Help to process and prepare customer orders, loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimize manual handling.
  • Stock Management: Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Health and Safety: Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority, reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
