Technical Project Manager (Tax and Invoicing) / Initial Contract / Remote Work with Occasional Travel

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager for a critical contract role focused on technical compliance.

This position requires an individual with extensive experience in managing E-invoicing compliance projects, particularly those involving tax regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced environments, showcasing exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to navigate complex technical landscapes while collaborating with various third-party vendors and implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project phases: From implementation to post-implementation support, ensuring adherence to tight timelines.
  • Detail-oriented leadership: Maintain a rigorous and organized approach, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Facilitate technical discussions: Lead conversations with stakeholders regarding technical aspects of the project.
  • Liaison role: Act as a bridge between key stakeholders, including fiscal advisors, tax teams, finance teams, and engineering departments.
  • Project management expertise: Provide comprehensive management for tax-related projects.
  • Compliance knowledge: Demonstrate experience with E-invoicing and E-reporting compliance standards (e.g., Peppol, SAF-T, RTIR, VIDA, SII).
  • Tax process understanding: Ideal candidates will have a solid grasp of tax and invoicing processes.
  • Critical thinking: Exhibit a questioning mindset to challenge and refine project requirements.
  • Cross-functional project experience: Previous experience managing large-scale projects across multiple business lines is desirable.
  • Resource management: Effectively manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and external vendors, to enhance productivity and minimize disruptions.
  • Progress monitoring: Closely track project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to maintain timelines.
  • Stakeholder communication: Regularly update stakeholders and senior management on project status, risks, and issues, ensuring transparency in project performance.
  • Governance adherence: Ensure compliance with Primark's governance processes to prevent delays in project execution.
  • Regular communication: Establish a cadence of meetings and develop a communication plan for the project.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to pivot quickly to protect project timelines.
  • Cut Over planning: Experience in planning for project transitions.
  • Portfolio reporting: Familiarity with project portfolio reporting.
  • Post-Go Live management: Manage acceptance into service and triage issues after project launch.
