Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties, including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver lessons and support students with their learning
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN needs, promoting their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing
  • Collaborate with a team of support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN needs
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with students with SEN needs
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and the role of a Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to engage students in their learning and promote their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK
