Main Responsibilities
As a Security Patrol Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting visible patrols of our four main trust sites, 24/7, 365 days a year, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Providing a professional security service, utilising CCTV and access control systems, and liaising with police colleagues to respond to any suspicious activity.
- Responding to emergency calls within the hospital, ensuring an effective and timely response to violent or aggressive incidents.
- Dealing with people who are demonstrating challenging behaviours, and receiving training to develop the skills you need in these situations.
- Being involved in initial investigations for missing patients and the hospital response to major emergencies.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
- Security training gained either through SIA or NVQ routes.
- Experience as a security officer in a customer-facing role.
- Experience of working in a similar or complex organisation.
