Job Title: Drivers Mate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drivers Mate to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Stockport, SK4 1DR. As a Drivers Mate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis.
  • Assist the delivery driver in parking and maneuvering a company vehicle, as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition.
  • Communicate with customers regarding estimated delivery times and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Experience in dealing with multi-drop home delivery is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Ability to commute to Stockport, SK4 1DR for the required shift pattern.
