Assistant Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at Tinnelly Construction. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the company accountant in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for the group
  • Preparation of VAT returns for the UK and ROI
  • Preparation of RCT and CIS returns
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Sales ledger and purchase ledger management
  • Payroll processing
  • Month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Monthly reports and ad-hoc duties

Requirements:
  • Accounts Technician qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience working with Sage and Microsoft software
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work as part of a team and alone when required
  • Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure
