Data Engineering Specialist

Aviva is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Specialist to join its team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering and design, team management, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to deliver wider capability across Aviva.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience with cloud technologies in AWS, including EMR-FS, Glue Data Catalogue, S3, SQS, and Lambda.
  • Experience in modern OLAP technologies like Snowflake & Lake house implementation with AWS integrations.
  • Experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Kinesis, and NoSQL databases like Dynamo DB, as well as demonstrable experience in Python with frameworks like SPARK.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like Apache AIRFLOW or AWS managed MWAA is a plus.
