Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Engineering Project Manager

**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead our engineering projects from conception to delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management, excellent planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, tasks, milestones, deliverables, budget, stakeholders, risks, and other key information needed to deliver the project successfully.
  • Project Scheduling: Construct and maintain a project schedule using an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), with milestones and review points clearly identified.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure that all tasks are completed and track project progress against the baseline.
  • Requirements Management: Ensure that comprehensive project requirements are produced, reviewed, and confirmed by stakeholders, using expert resources across the company where appropriate.
  • Risk Management: Identify, document, assess, and mitigate project-related risks where possible, raising them to senior management where appropriate.
  • Documentation and Delivery: Ensure that customer-specific project documentation is delivered, including manuals, manufacturing record books, interface specifications, handling/storage procedures, and test and inspection plans.
  • Lessons Learned: Undertake project closeout reviews to gather lessons learned that can be fed back into improvements in processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Educated to degree level BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Certification: APM PMQ, PRINCE 2, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience: Proven project management expertise within an engineering environment.
  • Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills, including work scheduling, prioritizing, and multitasking. Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
