Petroineos Refining - Asset Integrity Specialist

Petroineos Refining is a leading independent crude oil refiner in Europe, processing up to 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and generating 19 million tonnes of fuels per annum. We are seeking a skilled Asset Integrity Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements and site inspection standards.
  • Develop Written Schemes of Examination to identify degradation mechanisms and specify services requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate NDT and specialist support services to achieve full compliance with site inspection standards.
  • Highlight repairs to restore equipment to a 'fit for purpose' condition and recommend inspection intervals.
  • Provide inspection knowledge and guidance in equipment failure investigations to determine the root cause and extent of the failure.
  • Assist in workscope development, implementation, and completions for major shutdown programs.
Requirements:
  • Engineering background and demonstrable experience as a competent person.
  • Experience of design, fabrication, maintenance, and operation of various mechanical equipment types.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, excellent eye for detail, and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • UKAS RG-2 Category 3 Inspector qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in Inspection role.
  • EEMUA 159 and/or Plant Inspector qualifications beneficial.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
  • Working understanding of API/ASME/PSSR/EEMUA standards and guides.
  • Knowledge of refinery damage mechanisms.
  • Knowledge in the application of RBI.
  • Good understanding of NDT techniques, including application and limitations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
