**Job Summary**
Global Accounting Network is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to provide financial leadership and support to our client, a private equity-backed SME business with a strong outlook for 2024.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver best-in-class financial control through effective team design, engagement, development, performance management, and recruitment.
- Embed a robust internal controls and review framework to ensure accuracy of reported financial information.
- Lead the preparation of group management results and consolidated statutory results.
- Lead an efficient and accurate monthly close process across all regions, achieving the highest quality of balance sheet review and reconciliations.
- Manage balance sheet risks, opportunities, and provisions, flagging impact on P&L and inputting to forecast/budget processes as appropriate.
- Maximize working capital, applying commercial judgment to manage suppliers and customers with a focus on cash.
- Provide financial assistance to subsidiaries, including management reporting guidance and cash flow statement support.
- Own consolidated financial statements.
- Understand, interpret, and explain the financial results and records of the operating businesses.
**Requirements**
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Significant experience in controlling, accounting/consolidating/reporting.
- Significant experience in financial and management accounting, current accounting practices, and methods.
- Experience of working with private equity-backed businesses or similar environments where cash and working capital management is critical.
- Proven track record of improving processes, instilling strong control environments, and improving finance teams.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to operate at pace and balance competing priorities.
**What We Offer**
£50/hr - £60/hr.
