Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex hydraulic systems for various applications, including automotive and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hydraulic systems and components from concept to detail design.
  • Define and support testing of hydraulic components and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform simulation and detailed analysis of hydraulic systems and component design features.
  • Develop and validate hydraulic systems and components.
  • Investigate and resolve problems related to hydraulic systems.
  • Interact with external customers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with design teams to integrate and implement hydraulic systems and components into transmission designs.
  • Develop internal guidelines and practices related to hydraulic technical domain.

Requirements

  • Highly capable of understanding, specifying, and designing complex hydraulic systems from a basis of first principle knowledge/competency.
  • Deep knowledge/contact with the supply base for automotive, mobile, and industrial hydraulic components would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of operating system and control/power hydraulic system requirements for both on and off-highway vehicles.
  • Ability to manage the development and validation of hydraulic components in both the field and laboratory.
  • Able to lead/manage the delivery of the hydraulic system element of projects through their lifecycle.
  • Understanding of principles of electronic control systems which interface with hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding and experience of systems engineering processes would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
