About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at ISP Whitstable. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom activities, including extra-curricular events and school trips.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective lesson plans and strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work with students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Confidence in leading specialisms, such as Reading, Mathematics, or Forest School.
  • Experience in behavior management and techniques.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
