Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities, including extra-curricular events and school trips.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective lesson plans and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Ability to work with students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Confidence in leading specialisms, such as Reading, Mathematics, or Forest School.
- Experience in behavior management and techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
- A commitment to supporting your development through a range of professional opportunities.
