Job Title: Teacher of Dance and PE

Co-op Academies Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher of Dance and PE to join our team at Co-op Academy North Manchester.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced educator to lead our Dance and PE department, delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire and motivate our students. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that all students achieve their full potential and make exceptional progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students, providing targeted support and interventions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and whole-school policies and initiatives.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong track record of teaching and learning in Dance and PE, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning.
