We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team in working with young people in semi-independent accommodation. As a Support Worker, you will provide a package of practical and emotional support to empower young people to move on from supported accommodation to independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with young people to identify their needs and develop a support plan to mitigate any barriers to achieving their goals.
  • Provide continuity and support to young people as they transition to move-on accommodation.
  • Support young people to develop practical skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, housework, laundry, and personal health and hygiene in readiness for independent living.
  • Advocate for young people's needs and wishes, and provide advice on housing, education, and employment.
  • Work closely with social care teams and other agencies to ensure the best support and outcomes for young people.
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience working with young people in a relevant role.
  • A full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Demonstrable passion for working with young people and an understanding of the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a range of professionals to ensure support needs are met.
