Forklift Driver Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at Job&Talent. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a range of FLT vehicles in a busy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive, pick, assemble and load customer orders within depot accuracy and speed targets.
  • Contribute towards a clean and safe working environment, demonstrating concern to ensure that personal actions do not compromise the health and safety of self and/or colleagues at all times.
  • Handle customer stock with care and consideration to minimise damages and maximise customer service.
  • Adhere to instructions and guidelines regarding manual handling, the use of Mechanical Handling equipment, including pre-operational checks, reporting of defects, and the safe use and operation of all equipment.
  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, stacking stock onto and off pallets in a safe and stable manner ready for transit.
Requirements:
  • Previous FLT experience is required, license/certificate is not mandatory, please be familiar with the type of FLT previously operated.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
  • A 'can do', right first time and passionate approach.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
