About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Solutions Architect to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a key member of our Public Sector Security team, you will play a critical role in defining robust security architectures for our customers and partners across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Security Evangelism - Provide thought leadership to the Public Sector on cloud computing, making the case for secure cloud adoption.
  2. Technical Expertise - Collaborate with our Field, Training, and Support teams to deliver secure architectural solutions to our customers and partners.
  3. Content Creation - Develop reusable assets that reduce friction and increase time to value for our customers.
  4. Education and Training - Work with our Field Sales, Engineering, Training, and Support teams to educate customers and partners on AWS services and security best practices.
  5. Insights and Innovation - Influence AWS Technology roadmaps through partner and customer feedback, driving innovation and improvement in our security offerings.
About the Team

Our Public Sector Security team is a group of security and compliance experts, including senior security and compliance strategic advisors, and security specialist architects. We work closely with our customers and partners to enable secure adoption of AWS services and raise the bar on their overall security posture.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Cloud Technology Certification (e.g., Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
  • Experience with public standards (e.g., NIST SP 800 Series, RFCs)
  • Hands-on technical expertise in Security Architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps)
  • Applicable industry certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH)
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby on Rails) and integrating 3rd party monitoring tools
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges
