We are in search of a qualified Multiskilled Resident Maintenance Engineer to enhance their expanding team in the Coventry region. This role is crucial for the hands-on maintenance, repair, and enhancement of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the specialized procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and execute repairs or liaise with external specialists as required.
  • Execute machine adjustments and changeovers.
  • Monitor and calibrate machinery.
  • Work alongside production teams to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, including schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NVQ level 3 qualifications (or equivalent, such as ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering).
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, and sorting and packaging systems.
  • Experience with robotics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and the ability to identify faults (programming skills are not required).
  • Proactive maintenance approach with a focus on ensuring high equipment reliability.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A positive attitude and a robust work ethic.
