Job Title: Head of Production

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Production to oversee our production operations at GTS Group Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our production processes to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and proactively address any potential risks.
  • Implement and manage performance metrics to drive efficiency and productivity within the production team.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor, using lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a skilled production team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Liaise with senior management to report on production performance and propose strategic improvements.
  • Oversee the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality or safety.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a production management role, preferably within the rolling stock industry.
  • Proven track record in safety and performance management, with a hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is desirable.
  • Ideal candidate will be IOSH or NEBOSH certified.
