**Import Freight Forwarder - Sea and Air Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Freight Forwarder to join our team at First Choice Staff. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing ocean import consignments, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ocean import consignments in line with agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure full operational cycle is completed, including entries, clearances, customs processes necessary for the import of shipments by sea for allocated customers.
  • Manage the collection of VAT/Duty payments in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Internal/external communications with clients, suppliers, and overseas agents.
  • Oversee the regular update and completion of pricing records for allocated customers.
  • Ad hoc creation of pricing records for new business and new business opportunities.
  • Monitor the profitability of your allocated accounts; seeking opportunities to increase the profitability and the GP/TEU performance of your allocated customers.

Candidate Profile:

  • Predominately experience in Imports-Freight Forwarding.
  • Strong operational knowledge (start to finish).
  • Use of Freight Forwarding software and CDS entries.
  • Excellent customer services and sound organizational skills.
  • Able to use own initiative and think out of the box.
  • A keen and robust team spirit/player.
  • Able to adapt to changes and work effectively as part of a team.
