About the Role

Metyis is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Principal to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design and execution of data engineering projects, supporting clients in executing their data strategies, and engineering complete technical solutions to solve concrete business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design and execution of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, strategy consultants, and data scientists to drive business outcomes and deliver value to clients.
  • Advise clients on the implementation of effective data governance processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain technical solutions, including ETL pipelines, data lakes, and web services, to support business needs.
  • Guide and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Communicate and interact with clients at the executive level, presenting technical solutions and business value.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, or relevant fields, with 8+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English, with the ability to draw inferences from complex and diverse data.
  • Proven experience in designing and setting up modern data lake architectures, using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of good data governance practices across the data lifecycle, including data quality monitoring and automation.
