Academy Site Manager

Join ZipRecruiter's team as a Site Manager – Construction and take on a challenging role in the Water Industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with project delivery and commissioning on an ongoing basis, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Develop and improve project communication and performance within project and construction teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Contribute to resource planning and strategy during bid stages, making informed decisions to drive project success.
- Develop and implement Construction Phase Health & Safety plans, prioritizing the well-being of team members and adhering to industry regulations.
- Oversee EICA and mechanical installation, liaising with internal and external project managers to ensure seamless coordination.
- Develop programmes, Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), lifting plans, and project quality plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Review and approve site construction RAMS provided by subcontractors, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Manage subcontractor on-site activities and coordinate site acceptance testing (SAT) as required, ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
- Provide weekly project reporting, including program progress and change of scope requirements, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Ensure site construction meets design and quality standards through regular audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement.
- Supervise and develop the construction team, including mentoring and training, to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS (5-day course completion), First Aid at Work training, and strong background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering are essential qualifications.
- Experience in safety management controls for construction works, understanding of NEC forms of contract, and previous experience in Water/Waste Water are desirable.
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word) and valid UK Driving License are required.
