About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Associate Director (Structural Engineer) to lead our design teams, run projects, and engage directly with C-suite level clients. This well-established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy offers a comprehensive range of consultancy services across various market sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, residential, and infrastructure with project values up to £35M.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with company directors on technical and management control of projects in various sectors, including commercial, retail, offices, industrial, leisure, and education, with project values up to £35M.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other professionals, representing the company professionally.
  • Support teams with site visits to monitor progress, ensuring specifications are met and addressing any issues with contractors, clients, or project managers.
  • Work closely with directors to co-lead the design team and manage projects.
  • Mentor junior staff, aiding their professional development.
  • Maintain oversight of entire projects, ensuring detailed design focus is appropriate.
  • Utilise design tools such as Tedds, Tekla, and Masterseries.
  • Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is advantageous but not essential.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in structural engineering design.
  • Ideally Chartered or Incorporated with IStructE, although significant project experience is also valued.
  • Proficiency in maintaining project oversight and detailed design focus.
