Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CAE Project Engineer to join our team, supporting client projects in the field of Electrification. The successful candidate will be part of our OEM's PT CAE Propulsion Group, responsible for simulations in all areas within PT, including Traction Batteries, EDUs, E-Machines, Inverters, Transmissions, and Drivelines.

The CAE assessments from this team feed into significant engineering & program decisions in the product development cycle. As a CAE Project Engineer, you will be responsible for CAE durability analysis at System / Sub-system / component level within the Propulsion System, coordinating with physical testing teams to correlate simulation results and gather learning to optimize methods for future assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the durability attribute of Traction battery assembly & sub-assemblies in line with requirements.
  • Develop and maintain complex engineering & mathematical models.
  • Support the continual development of tools and techniques to enhance capability, improve quality, and robustness of Virtual models.
  • Conduct design analysis and development with utmost quality within agile framework.
  • Support design, development workstreams within the scope of engineering development projects.
  • Liaise with customer engineering teams to support prototype design freeze activities and customer production / prototype sites.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Degree level education and fundamental knowledge of power unit systems and Automotive Traction Battery (Regenerative Energy Storage System).
  • Minimum 5 years industrial work experience with CAE Analysis.
  • Experience in Conducting Vibration & Hi-Cycling Fatigue Analysis, explicit dynamics, gasket sealing, stress, and fatigue analysis (nCode/FEMFAT).
  • Previous experience of supporting engineering or analytical projects and proposing product modifications to improve design.
