Pharmacy Dispenser Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Pharmacy team as a Dispensing Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support to various pharmacy departments, including Dispensary, Procurement, Oncology, Trials, and Homecare.
  • Collaborate with the near-patient dispensing team to supply medications to patients both during their hospital stay and at discharge.
  • Offer guidance to patients regarding their medication after completing comprehensive training.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics is essential for this role.
  • While previous pharmacy experience is beneficial, we welcome applications from individuals with no prior experience as full training will be provided.
  • NVQ Level 2 for Pharmacy Dispenser is desirable but not mandatory.
