Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Hull. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including design, FEED, and EPCm scope preparation and execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Manage and grow the mechanical engineering team, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate mechanical engineering interfaces between project phases.
  • Establish professional working relationships and support technical queries and interpretation of scope, specifications, and standards.
Requirements:
  • BSc/MSc or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer Status.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering design in the oil and gas, petro-chemical, or chemical industries.
  • Significant lead mechanical engineer experience within engineering consultancy, EPIC contractor, or client organization.
  • Package engineering (rotating and/or static equipment) desirable.
  • Team lead/management experience.
  • Familiar with international design codes and standards.
  • Experienced in mechanical/piping fabrication, steel structures, and mechanical-civil interface.
  • Experienced in 3D design and modeling methods used within the discipline.
