Dovetail Recruitment Ltd is a specialist recruitment agency within the manufacturing and construction industry. We are looking to recruit a new CAD Technician to work within our existing Contracts team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initial design stage through to manufacture, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Prepare technical and sample submittals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, and end-users to gather requirements and provide design solutions.
  • Utilize online document control systems to manage and maintain project documentation.
  • Prepare associated documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with manufacturing partners to ensure design specifications meet production needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the construction industry, with a focus on technical drawing and design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce high-quality drawings and designs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to instigate changes for continuous improvement and drive process efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design solutions and technical requirements.
  • Full product and system training will be provided to ensure successful onboarding.
  • No known health risks associated with this role.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum.
  • Annual performance-related bonus.
  • Monthly payment intervals.
  • Part-time hours offered, working Monday to Friday.
