COWI is seeking a skilled HV Subsea Cable Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our high voltage design team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative systems for future grid needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design high voltage subsea cables according to IEC & CIGRE standards.
  • Conduct thermal and electrical designs for static and dynamic subsea cables.
  • Collaborate with geophysical, technical, and environmental teams for cable routing.
  • Lead Cable Burial Risk Assessment and Cable Burial Assessment Studies.
  • Design sea cable landfall in cooperation with construction and marine teams.
  • Develop concept designs and assess CAPEX/OPEX/LCOE.
  • Compile Tender Document Packages for supply, installation, or combined projects.
  • Participate in Tender Process and contract negotiations with Suppliers & Contractors.
  • Coordinate interfaces between OSS and WTG foundations.
  • Facilitate or contribute to HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
  • Conduct design reviews, FAT, and SAT.
Your Skills

To thrive in this role, you will need to be eager to collaborate with colleagues, partners, and customers. You should have relevant experience in a similar role with a degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably a master's). Additionally, you will need experience in designing and tendering high voltage systems, knowledge of dynamic subsea cables, and strong interpersonal skills.

You will be highly organized and capable of composing complex technical documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
