Care Home Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Care Home Chef to join our team at Go To Outsourcing. As a Care Home Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dietary requirements are catered for.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for 30+ residents, using fresh produce and traditional English dishes.
  • Manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater for special dietary requirements, such as IDDSI training.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • 12+ months experience as a head chef in a care setting.
  • Chef certifications or extensive experience cooking English-based food and managing kitchens.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM shifts.
  • Right to work in the UK and 12 months experience in a care setting.
  • Enhanced DBS (one can be applied for).
