Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team at Academics, a leading national education recruitment agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ensure that students complete the work set, maintaining a high level of academic integrity.
  • Follow the school's behaviour management policies to ensure student conduct is appropriate and respectful.
  • Provide support to individual students where necessary, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Liaise with teaching staff regarding cover work and any issues that arise during lessons, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with other duties around the school as required, including exam invigilation and support during school events.
Requirements
  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, demonstrating a strong foundation in academic skills.
  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting, showcasing a deep understanding of child development and learning.
