We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager Graduate to join our team at Ipsum. As a key member of our Power Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our continued growth and success.
About the RoleThe Graduate Position is a two-year program that will provide you with hands-on experience and training in the field of Quantity Surveying and Project Management. You will work closely with our experienced team members to gain a deep understanding of our operations and develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the measurement process of all quotations and tenders
- Support Project Managers with program of works
- Gain site experience working alongside engineers to gain electrical engineering experience in the high voltage industry
- Work towards gaining ENWL and SPEN authorisation (access and measurements)
- Assist in the preparation of any sub-contract tender action
- Support the operations team in capturing costs accurately against the appropriate works budget
- Assist in obtaining value for money through best practice procurement with the supply chain
- Use the management information system to track work progress and report on any contract KPI's
- Assist with risk management and mitigation
- Assist in the preparation of contract final accounts and support to the operational teams
- Assist in maintaining visibility of expenditure to ensure works are completed to budget
- Assist in the management of contract applications for payment by clients
- Degree within Quantity Surveying or Electrical Engineering
- Driver's License (or working towards)
