Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working across various locations, primarily focusing on the Somerset area, to ensure the effective maintenance and servicing of fire and security systems.

Compensation Package:
Salary range of £30,000 to £40,000 based on experience
Overtime pay at 1.5 times the standard rate, along with an additional on-call allowance
Travel expenses covered from door to door
Company vehicle available for personal use

Additional benefits include:
- Increased holiday entitlement with each year of service, up to 25 days
- Provision of a laptop, mobile phone, company credit and trade card, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and uniform.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct servicing and maintenance of various fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Provide demonstrations of systems to clients, explaining potential causes and impacts of false alarms.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems and other security solutions.
- Understand client requirements and fulfill all service requests effectively.
- Ensure fire and security systems comply with current standards and client specifications.
- Respond to service calls for all types of fire and security systems.
- Update documentation, including site schematics and drawings, as necessary.
- Carry out annual service visits and address incoming faults.
- Document and report progress of completed work accurately via SIMPRO.

Client Interaction:
- Secure client signatures upon completion of work.

Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
- Flexibility to travel and participate in an on-call rota, which operates on a 1-week-in-4 basis.

Due to the nature of the fire and security industry, successful candidates will undergo several background checks, including credit checks, five-year referencing history, and DBS checks. All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of these checks.
