Job Overview

Finning International is seeking a highly skilled Rebuild Repair Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the refurbishment of Caterpillar products to meet Finning standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machines to identify repair or replacement needs.
  • Perform standard diagnosis tests to determine the root cause of issues.
  • Produce detailed lists of parts and materials required for repairs.
  • Carry out overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machines to agreed work plans.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they meet performance expectations.
Requirements
  • Flexibility, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, work accuracy, and quality orientation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in plant machinery or similar industries.
  • Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years' experience in quality service environment.
  • Licence to drive reach trucks.
  • Practical experience in operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines.
