Role Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive Shift Engineer to lead a team of Engineering Technicians (up to 6 Direct Reports). Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and nurturing the development of personnel, equipment, and process knowledge across the manufacturing site.
- Collaborating with fellow engineers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to execute a variety of engineering-related initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and time standards.
- Taking charge of the overall performance of the processes, implementing enhancements to align with the commercial objectives of the site.
- Assisting with regulatory inquiries during inspections.
Additional Responsibilities:
This role also involves supporting broader operational functions across GSK's manufacturing facilities and comprehensively understanding all regulatory and statutory obligations (Safety and Quality/GMP) that govern manufacturing processes.
Shift Details:
This position requires working on a 24/7 shift schedule, including 12-hour shifts that may involve night and weekend work.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in a complex GMP environment. You should be a qualified engineer with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of enhancing performance. It is crucial to demonstrate a collaborative mindset focused on solution-oriented approaches. Strong persuasive abilities, a commitment to continuous improvement, and experience engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders are essential. Experience in a highly-regulated industry is preferred.
