**Job Summary**

We are looking for a skilled Senior Cost Estimator to take on a key role in our commercial team. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and project budgets, monitoring and controlling project expenditures, and developing and managing tender documents, contracts, and procurement processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets, taking into account all relevant factors, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure budget compliance, identifying and mitigating any potential cost overruns.
  • Develop and manage tender documents, contracts, and procurement processes, ensuring that all necessary requirements are met.
  • Administer contracts, including managing variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring that all parties are aware of their obligations and responsibilities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to minimize potential losses.
  • Track, report, and provide financial progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed of project status and any potential issues.
  • Prepare valuations, process progress payments, and certify completed work, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Cost Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Professional certification such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
