We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team at Emerald Place Clinic. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and confidential management of Mental Health Act correspondence and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with external authorities to arrange, process, and document information related to patient admission, referrals, discharges, and renewals.
- Verify all legal documentation in relation to patient detention under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended November 2007), including section papers, renewals, and consent to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient clinical records, both electronic and manual, in accordance with Elysium Healthcare procedures.
- Produce audits and statistics as requested by the Administration Manager and MHA Admin Advisor.
- Supervise the work within the Mental Health Act Admin Department.
- Demonstrable experience in administration or office systems.
- Sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative to plan and prioritize workload.
