We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Music Performance and Production Lecturer to join our team at Wiltshire College & University Centre. As a key member of our Creative Arts, Media & Performance Faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the curriculum and delivering engaging lessons to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Assessing: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment of Level 2 & 3 Music Performance & Production courses, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education in music performance and production.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of schemes of learning, lesson plans, and assessment strategies that meet the needs of our students and align with industry standards.
- Live Events and Performances: Organize and arrange live events, such as concerts, recitals, and exhibitions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and gain practical experience.
- DAW Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Logic or similar software in your teaching, ensuring students develop the skills needed to succeed in the music industry.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students with their UCAS applications, career development, and pastoral needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with the local community on live projects and external events, fostering relationships and promoting the college's reputation as a hub for music education.
- Study Trips and Enrichment: Organize study trips and enrichment activities that enhance students' learning experiences and provide opportunities for personal growth and development.
- Quality Standards: Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality in the department, ensuring excellent retention, attendance, success rates, progression, final grades, and value added.
- Qualifications: Hold a degree or higher technical qualification in Music Performance, Production, or a related field, and a relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one).
- Experience: Possess experience working with Logic or similar DAWs, organizing and arranging live events, and delivering high-quality teaching and assessment.
- Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive and enthusiastic approach to student enrichment and pastoral care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
