About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sweco. As a key member of our water industry team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver mechanical designs for water industry projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to optimize and develop bespoke designs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support the development of their skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services and solutions.

Requirements

  • Chartered status with the IMechE and a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of mechanical design for the water industry, including experience in delivering water designs and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable solutions, water and wastewater processes, and health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers from all disciplines and other industry professionals.
