Exciting Opportunity for a Construction Quality Assurance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Assurance Officer to enhance our operations in the South West region.

Compensation and Benefits:
The remuneration package ranges from £35,000 to £45,000, complemented by a £3,000 vehicle allowance, 27 days of annual leave, and a pension scheme with up to 6% employer matching.

Role Overview:
The selected candidate will report directly to the Fire Compartmentalisation Project Manager, collaborating with essential stakeholders to ensure adherence to the National Programme Manager's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with contractors, engineers, and surveyors, including conducting initial site assessments and Pre-Start meetings.
  • Traveling throughout the designated region, balancing time between an office base, home, and various construction sites, while representing the Fire Compartmentalisation and NHS Property Services Construction Team.
  • Measuring and verifying the quality of building materials and installation techniques.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful applicant will possess:
  • A solid understanding of construction and fire compartmentation techniques.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a construction or Hard FM delivery role.
  • Experience in a healthcare-related setting.
  • A customer-centric approach to service delivery.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various access tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, including roles and responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with building regulations (2023 as amended), ensuring compliance with health and safety, legal, and ecological standards.
  • A critical focus on Regulation 38.
