Contract Details: Temporary, Part-time

Care Managers Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Assistant to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis.

About the Role

As a Social Work Assistant, you will work closely with our team of social workers to provide support to vulnerable individuals and families in the community. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of clients' needs and developing care plans in collaboration with social workers
  • Providing practical and emotional support to clients, including assistance with daily tasks and activities
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and interventions
  • Liaising with other agencies and professionals involved in the care of clients
  • Attending meetings and case conferences as required
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures of the company and regulatory bodies
  • Maintaining confidentiality and respecting the rights and dignity of clients at all times
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a social work or care setting (preferred)
  • A relevant qualification in social work, social care, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An empathetic and compassionate nature
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
  • Flexibility to work on a part-time and temporary basis
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
