Academic English Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic English Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language and literature programs to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement engaging and effective English language and literature lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to promote student learning and engagement, including technology integration and project-based learning.
- Contribute to the development and sharing of quality teaching and learning strategies and programs of learning within the faculty.
- Participate in professional learning opportunities to enhance your practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in English language and literature education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student learning and well-being.
- Model and uphold the Professional Teaching Standards and Code of Conduct.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature or a related field, and a valid New Zealand Teacher Registration. You will also need to have 3-5 years of teaching experience and a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA.
