Job Summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team in London. As a key member of our Building Surveying department, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of building surveying services to our clients in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide a range of building surveying and project management duties across multiple projects and sectors.
  • Assist in the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
  • Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Support senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business, including project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
  • Design and implement small to medium-sized projects, including condition and measured surveys.
  • Undertake due diligence surveys and use standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry issues and developments in best practice.
  • Experience in bid management and development, including acting as the primary interface with key clients.
  • Manage and develop team members, including mentoring of APC graduates.
  • Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
  • Defect analysis, building surveys, and producing professional reports and specifications.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
  • Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Good all-round surveying experience and client-facing skills.
  • Experience in pre and post-contract project management responsibilities.
  • Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels.
  • Prepared to travel as required.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Awareness of BIM systems.
  • Ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Experience in managing clients and their expectations.
  • Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
