Pertemps Network Group is a prominent utility provider in the UK, catering to a vast customer base across England, Scotland, and Wales. As a member of the Technical Engineering Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe design and implementation of projects while contributing to significant technical decisions within the sector.
We are seeking a seasoned Technical/Project Engineer for a hybrid role, with flexibility to travel to operational sites and client locations throughout the UK.
Note: A full UK driving license is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and obtaining approval for installation projects and layouts for external clients.
- Advising teams on the necessary equipment and tools required for installations.
- Providing technical guidance to clients on matters such as process safety, product knowledge, storage, regulations, and maintenance.
- Expertly supporting incident investigations and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
- Leading and actively participating in long-term projects.
- Conducting liaison meetings with suppliers, clients, and partners.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, processes, and regulations.
- Managing the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
- Maintaining a robust understanding of industry best practices and completing required training.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified to Chartered Engineer (CEng) level or currently pursuing this qualification.
- A diverse technical background, ideally encompassing mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of safety and risk management principles.
- Experience with long-term projects is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- Capable of making prompt, clear decisions, including those involving difficult choices or calculated risks.
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex scenarios to non-technical colleagues.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to work.
