Job Description

About the Role

The Education Programmes Manager will play a key role in developing and managing outreach education programmes for Bedford Blues Foundation. This includes leading the strategic planning and implementation of programmes that align with the charity's aims and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage outreach education programmes that meet the needs of partner schools and align with the national curriculum.
  • Lead a team of delivery staff and provide line management and coaching to ensure high-quality programme delivery.
  • Develop and implement programme content, including curriculum design and delivery.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with schools and partner organisations.
  • Develop and manage budgets to deliver programmes successfully.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, including data collection and reporting.
  • Represent Bedford Blues Foundation and promote the charity's brand and values.
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives and support events to drive donations to the charity.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and line management skills, with experience in managing teams and budgets.
  • Strong understanding of the education sector and alternative provisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant field, such as education or business.
  • Full and clean driving licence.
  • Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Sector qualifications desirable.
  • Appointment subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.

Working Environment

  • Full-time role, with predominantly office and field-based work, including some home working flexibility.
  • Responsibility to visit and travel to project sites, with some commitment outside of working hours.
