Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. As a key member of our Center for Information and Media Processing (ZIM), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing IT security measures based on BSI standards
  • Conducting security analyses and penetration tests
  • Coordinating the implementation of IT security measures at central network, operating system, and application level
  • Processing security incidents and coordinating necessary IT measures
  • Providing advice on IT security issues and training for university employees
Requirements
  • Completed scientific university degree in computer science, IT security, physics, mathematics, communications engineering, administrative or business informatics
  • Experience in IT security, ideally in a scientific environment
  • Sound knowledge of security mechanisms at network, operating system, and application level
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and laws in the field of information security
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
