Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems to support our customers' critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network architectures to meet customer requirements
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices and equipment
- Monitor and analyze network performance to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
Requirements
- DV clearance or the ability to gain and hold
- Qualification: Cisco CCNA or CompTIA N+ certified
- Experience: Working in a Network Operations Centre
- Experience: Documenting processes and procedures
- Behaviour: Willing to learn and train in relevant network technology
- Behaviour: Able to comply with security policy as a network administrator
- Behaviour: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Behaviour: Able to follow direction from line managers, prioritize tasks and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Desirable Qualifications
- CCNA Collaboration would be preferable
- Certification: Foundation in service management such as ITIL
- Experience with configuration and administration of high-grade encryption devices
- Experience with DM VPN protocol
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG
- Experience with coding languages such as Python and their use to enhance network automation and monitoring
- Experience in supporting front end Voice over IP (VoIP) devices
- Experience- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Experience- Experience with configuring and maintenance of Cisco Call Manager
Location
This role will be based in Herefordshire, with occasional travel to other sites.
Clearance Required
This role will require DV clearance.
