Job Summary

Vestas is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Heavy Lift & Site Engineering team in the Offshore Wind industry. As a Senior Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for technical and marine operations of Offshore Installation Vessels and Service Jack-Up Vessels for Main Component Exchanges in Northern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare deck layout, loading arrangements, lifting plans, ghost positions, SSA/LPA, and liaison with installation vessel owners and project teams.
  • Participate in interface meetings with clients, vessel providers, MWS and other contractors to ensure that information and assignments are exchanged between parties and distributed within Vestas.
  • Assist Sales, Construction and Service functions in technical and marine operations topics to ensure the vessel is sailing, jacking and lifting safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Over years of relevant experience, ideally in Offshore Wind or Oil & Gas construction.
  • Degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, or marine).
  • Solid background in engineering design and project management.
  • In-depth experience with Offshore Wind Jack-Up Vessels, Marine Operations, and/or Heavy Lift and Transport.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marine operational risks and their business implications.
  • Proficient in validating new products and concepts.
  • GIS, MS office and AutoCAD skills.
  • Fluent in English.
