Plant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our team in Kings Lynn. As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for managing a team of over 30 people and driving improvements in product quality, reducing waste, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing unit, identifying and implementing improvements in working practices using modern manufacturing philosophies.
- Manage cost, quality, and output, working closely with other departments to create efficiencies and improve delivery.
- Produce and maintain a production plan to ensure all sales orders and key stock levels are serviced, with lead times maintained or improved.
- Ensure stock replenishment and kanban systems reflect production capabilities.
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment at senior level, with experience in effectively leading teams.
- Exposure to and experience in implementing systems such as LEAN, Kanban, Faxban, Six Sigma, and Kaizan.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide regular information to SMT through daily and weekly reporting.
