Senior Civil and Structural Engineer

Our client, a leading consultancy in heavy civil engineering, is seeking a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in delivering technical design work, adhering to relevant design standards and codes, and maintaining high-quality levels.
  • Effectively manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and programmes.
  • Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are met in design.
  • Sound knowledge of heavy concrete and steel structures, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices, including British Standards and American codes.
  • Proficiency in designing with structural analysis packages.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector, particularly in the design and implementation of safety-related structures, systems, and components (strongly preferred).
Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in civil and structural engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
