We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Companion for a 12-year-old boy with Profound Learning Disabilities in the Bishopston area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing companionship and support to access the community, engage in social activities, and encourage independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support
- Accompanying the individual to community activities, such as play parks, swimming, and outdoor events
- Encouraging engagement in social activities and promoting independence
- Assisting with daily living tasks and personal care
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Own personal car
- Child-centered approach and passion for disability rights
- Good sense of humor and ability to work independently
Working Hours:
Up to 12 hours per week, term time, and 16 hours school holidays (average of 13 hours per week). Flexible days and times to be discussed.
Salary:
£13.00 per hour, with a weekly actual salary of £8, and an annual actual salary of £27,000.
