About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Anaesthetist to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Southampton. As a key member of our anaesthesia department, you will be responsible for the management of anaesthetic resources across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, oral surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, pain services, and endoscopy.
  • Manage anaesthetic resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical quality standards and participate in our audit and clinical governance programme.
  • Work closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospital's Medical Director.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced anaesthetist with several years of experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK. You will have a current registration with the GMC's specialist register of anaesthetists and be committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development.
